| Hey guys! I'm all moved in to college now and I'm really enjoying it here c:
It's just that Orientation is still going and we keep going to a lot of events and I always come back to the dorm exhausted so I haven't had time to reply. I know I'll have more time later though, so do not fret :D
Okay so that's all I wanted to say. I'll probably be able to post next week!

| Update: Lol I was wrong
So apparently the 19 credits I'm taking for this semester is a lot more than I anticipated, thus eating up all my time over the entire weeks I've been in school. Which sucks.
But good news! Nearing the end! Yay!
I've missed writing again (I keep going off and on and I apologize) so I'll be around for break and the next few weeks. Of course, I'll be MIA for my finals but then it's winter break. So yea, that's pretty much it. Can't guarantee that I'll be on consistently but just letting everyone know ^-^

| I could have told you taking the max number of credits allowed in a semester is hell. | |

Uhhh, it was fun and stuff. Taking summer classes so it'll be still plenty hectic. XD If anyone wants to chat or anything I'm free to do so. But then again, everyone's been away so maybe no one will read this?? Who knows. ~Marya

| Woa!! I haven't posted in this thread for nearly a YEAR I'm so sorry I'm actually the worst at updates/speaking to human beings and telling them what I am up to (even though the site seems just about dead but I mean I always do hope to contact old friends). I passed all my summer classes, if anyone was wondering. I took three: Multidimensional Calculus, General Biology, and Molecular Biology. I somehow pulled off a 100/100 points on my calculus final (due to B O N U S P O I N T S) and surprised the professor since I kept fucking napping EVERY SINGLE CLASS WE HAD (and he KNEW because the class had TEN PEOPLE IN IT and okay I know I shouldn't nap but like... it was hot and we didn't have AC and I was fasting so I was gone). The biology classes were so much more fun (the molecular one had only two students in it, me and another dude who I would come to realize was one of Jon's best friends and roommate) and I guess it led me to realize I had much more of a passion for biology than any of the other engineering classes I had taken. There were other factors too, like a rigid class schedule that would restrict me from taking courses I actually was interested in, and a bad grade in physics that would push a lot of my coursework to the next year, that caused me to change majors. Surprise! I was so dead set on engineering so I was a little surprised, but I managed to realize that I appreciated the courses that I took and the stuff I learned but never actually took a lot of interest in it. It was a scary decision nonetheless, since I had to rethink my next three years. Just a few days ago in fact I formally declared my major as a Cell and Developmental Biology major! Yay! I also changed my mind on future plans again too. I'm planning on tackling medical school ("o no Marya I thought you were totally against that" oop) and a PhD program. Uhh, at the same time (Bigger oop). I've kinda gotten into that medical research life, since I've been working in a lab at the medical center and I will be there for the summer doing some research on stem cells and T cells. That's where I'm at so far, I guess. Other than that, school's been fun as usual. Played a lot more squash matches this year, met lots of new people, yadda yadda. Other than sleepless nights (the panda is me right now, sleep deprived and recovering during her spring break) and ranting to my roommate constantly on the State of Things, I've been doing okay. It's got it's ups and downs but I'm content. Oh, and I became a real real adult, I'm a legal guardian for a human being now (my little brother yeet ^w^) and my schedule next semester looks fabulous (five courses technically, but one is independent research so like I can go whenever I want) where I only have the bulk of my classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with one on Wednesday. NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING on Mondays and Fridays. I'm TOO EXCITED I'VE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY. Okay, okay, I'm done rambling about the real world for now I think. Next year is the MCAT and applying to real life things so it's a little daunting. To say I miss writing and interacting with friends from the internet is kinda an understatement. I long for the day I can happily sit down without so much work to do and just write for hours on end. But goals come first I guess. How are y'all doing? If anyone wants to talk to a loser panda still, just drop me a message (not Rosie, you do that too much). <3 ~Marya | |

| Hello! This site is dead most likely but I'M GONNA POST BECAUSE I'M SELF-ABSORBED AND ALWAYS WANT TO TALK ABOUT MYSELF Just finished my third fall semester here! Things are going okay, my GPA looks like it may actually be... good??? I've been doing the same lab shenanigans and I was published in a conference paper which is pretty cool. I'm gonna aim for another publication next semester hopefully, something that's submitted to an academic journal I think. I'm full steam ahead with this MD/PhD plan, but god knows it's gonna be a pain in the ass applying. I'm a little terrified, but I think I can do it! I don't know if I have other updates?? It's all pretty much the same, working in the lab, balancing classes, hanging out with friends, managing club stuff. I'm literally always busy and it's great but a little exhausting. But I appreciate the distraction more than I'm willing to admit. I don't think I've mentioned it in the thread (and I may have mentioned it to others personally) but I broke up with Jon since he's being a real Adult(TM) in Boston. I realize he was one of the closest people to me, so nowadays I feel like I don't have someone to talk to all the time. But I started hanging out with old friends again since I have the time and I think I've begun to feel better ^-^ If anyone still drops by the site, feel free to PM if you wanna chat or rant or whatnot! <3 | |

| Heh.... Well, it's good to know people still check up on here, or rather, did. I just got absorbed in work and married life. (Saber is doing fine as well. She's started doing lessons again which is good.) It's nice to know everything else is things are going well, or at least getting better.
I did have some news on the 'demon' (Her words, not mine) and that's she actually has mellowed out more now.I'm almost sure it's down to her second hospital visit and a certain someone talking more sense into her about what was going on.
Anyway! I'll be hovering around.... So message away if wanted. (I've started painting miniatures... Mistakes were made getting int that as well as a computer.)

| Hello this is a short update because I can't sleep and I suddenly remembered about this place (\^w^/)
I'm old as hell (22 now, @Drummy I'm old therefore you are old old)
I am graduating in May (aka in a month) and am looking to do some more research in my gap years before applying to med school.
My personal life is chill, I've been through enough in college to know I am fed up with people in the real world. If people are ever around, I'm always down to spill more tea.
Lots of love you guys. I miss this place.
