| Back when the continent was whole, mankind and other creatures lived in fear of the Ancient Beasts that roamed the land. Treated as though gods for most they lived according to their wishes, be it killing anyone who came across their territory or playing games with the smaller inhabitants and accepting sacrifices in order to remain placid. These old gods were often hungry for more, starting wars on each other to gain more land, resources, or recognition, paying no mind to the destruction left in their wake. They destroyed homes, even changed the landscape and water so that the environment was uninhabitable. And yet these smaller creatures, feeling loyalty to (or fearful of) their chosen god, fought amongst each other as well in the name of their overlord and bloodshed stained the lands of the continent. Hundreds of years continued on in this manner, with no real end in sight, despite the dwindling population of lesser creatures on the mainland. There was one god however that chose a different path from the others. Shahrivar, an avian-like giant with a bronze beak, talons that could pierce through the hardest of metals, and plumage that rippled in a variety of iridescent colors, had a very caring disposition, having spent much time with its subjects and growing fond of their character. They gave the beast many gifts and, in return, the being offered protection and guidance. Yet as the wars began, Shahrivar knew that they would not be spared. They fled, taking the smaller creatures to the canyons, creating homes nestled in the rockface hidden out of sight. To be most prepared, Shahrivar gave these creatures small bits of their essence, allowing them to wield power unlike any other. Though other Ancient Beasts could do the same, they feared that the lesser beings would rise up against them. However, the benevolent Shahrivar trusted their following and wanted them to be able to live on even after the Ancient Wars… When the wars finally reached Shahrivar and their following, only broken Ancients were left. Their followers were either ruined and turned to dust or had fled to the farthest corners of the continent to hide. With great work, Shahrivar and the Rivats (as they so lovingly called themselves) rid the land of the rest of the Ancient Beasts, taking back the land and establishing peace. Shahrivar was wounded and scarred from battle, but soon it was over. The land, though ravaged, was given new life as both beast and smaller creatures worked to restore its balance. They welcomed back those who ran from their homes because of the Ancient Wars, creating small settlements that are known now as the biggest cities of Edir. Shahrivar, now the only Ancient left, felt they had nothing left to offer their people and tired from warring, vanished into hiding, giving only knowledge of their whereabouts to a select few. The knowledge was kept hidden from people but many legends say that Shahrivar lies hidden, overflowing with the same power, able to grant wishes to those who find them. ~ This story takes place centuries after. Edir is made up of separate kingdoms that have agreed upon an alliance, whereas Fioria (to the east) are allied island territories that have established trade with Edir. Many people/creatures are magic users, but only those in royalty with magic use the ‘Rivat’ name in their title. There is still a good chunk of those without magic. Almost everyone in Edir knows Edirian, the official language. Fioria (Fiori) has its own language but they use Edirian because of trade deals and for the sake of foreign affairs. There are still wild beasts that roam that do not know language and display magic. V dangerous, much yikes. ~ Race Definitions - Code:

Name: Lunete Age: 32 human years in this body, 532 years overall Race: Inanna (the Reborn) Goal(s): Her main goal is to put an end to her cycle of reincarnation so that she may live peacefully and without fear of becoming a tool for destruction again. Personality: Lunete has grown quite jaded over the years. At one point she was strong-willed and temperamental, with a strong sense of justice and morality. Now she has grown melancholic, with a constantly tired look on her face. Not many things excite her, nor does anything catch her by surprise as she has seen it all. She’s also become a steadfast pacifist and refuses to use magic unless in the direst of cases, believing her own powers and immortal soul a curse that must be held at bay. Her love of tangible things diminished to an aesthetic appreciation, she isn’t very much pleased with gifts or food or even money--instead, she is much more appreciative of experience and seeing places and its people. In fact, the only thing she still finds herself caring for are people who are doing their best to live out their daily lives. Because of her selfless desire to help others, she can enter perilous situations with an unwavering determination and strength that can only be that of one of the best sorceresses in the land. Other times, if she is caught in certain situations, she is prone to panic attacks and dissociation due to past trauma. Appearance: Lunete is unassuming in stature, with a pale complexion and slender frame. She stands at about five feet six inches tall, with slightly curved bosom and hips. Along her right arm and front of her torso are black, scrawling runes each with distinct shapes that indicate their uniqueness. She is most distinguishable by her snowy white hair, unkempt in waves to the middle of her back, and near colorless, glassy blue eyes. Despite rosy cheeks and pink lips, Lunete is frigid to the touch, with a skin texture that is akin to paper, making it difficult for her to make skin-to-skin contact with others (she will often wear gloves and cover up most of her body in clothing to avoid such). As someone with few earthly possessions, she doesn’t tend to wear jewelry and the clothing she owns are drab and conservative, but sturdy and reliable. She’s often seen wearing black, white, or beige, with very little armor. Brief History: She hails from the northernmost kingdom of Ixara. On paper, her history doesn't include many major events. She was born in a small town in the countryside, growing up there until the age of 8 when she was moved to the capital. There, she has acted as the castle's leading sorceress until today. Yet the fact that she is the Reborn complicates things. Lunete remembers all 10 of her past lives, as her soul is older than her physical body. Each of the 10 lives was different from each other, probably due to the fact they each remembered the last and worked to do something different with their lives. From illicit love affairs to warfare, her soul has done it all. So, as the 11th life cycle, Lunete has a great deal of life lessons that she always abides by, to avoid tragedy as her past lives had encountered. Life summaries: 1 - the most inexperienced life. Enlisted as a mage in the country's war of independence; celebrated as a war hero. Died naturally and peacefully. 2 - Born into the newly established monarchy. Upon realizing her last life, she was given special treatment and specific magic lessons. Took to a life of travel as a diplomat, visiting various towns in the country. Died after contracting illness while helping the underserved (due to the aftermath of war) 3 - She was born in the countryside to farmers, but was taken to the castle when she learned of her memories. She was raised a noble and did not often leave the grounds as she was a figurehead. She was trained to be a master mage, but did not do much with her power as she was kept inside. This was also the time in which the kingdom decided that they would closely follow her death and subsequent rebirth, to maintain the power of the ruling family. She passed quietly on her birthday. 4 - In this life, she sought to do everything against her fate. She also chose to bunk the tradition of remaining unmarried, falling in love with the crown prince of the time. The prince was arranged to be wed to a smaller kingdom’s princess, but never stopped caring for her for years. Eventually, this led to her death at the hands of an assassin hired by the princess (now queen), to win over the prince’s heart (however it is believed another kingdom had sent an assassin to murder her). 5 - Grief from her previous life filled Lunete with melancholy, rendering her more quiet and closed off in this life. She was not able to speak the truth about her previous death while in the castle, with the queen breathing down her neck. Instead she devoted her time to strategic planning for the kingdom’s expansion into unknown and unclaimed territories. Upon seeing firsthand the atrocities committed by knights under the rulers’ command, Lunete ran away to not be used as a weapon. On the run for years, she took her life when she was finally cornered. 6 - This time, Lunete was born far out of the scope of the kingdom, in one of the newly annexed territories. Upon turning 8, her family did not give her up to the monarchy. She managed to leave home and become part of a resistance formed to go against the monarchy. She received combat training and also managed to hone her magic to become a force to be reckoned with when she ambushed troops and destroyed governing buildings. Bit by bit, the land was reclaimed once again under her leadership, but she passed in her sleep before she could see the fruit of her work. 7 - Born again during a time of constant war between the territories and the kingdom, Lunete regained her memories at a time of a stalemate. Her family was unaware of the return of her memories, as she denied ever getting them. This bought her time to contact the resistance, now a full-fledged army, on her whereabouts. She was “kidnapped” by the resistance and reinstated as their leader. She also managed to train many other mages, while still biding time to reach her peak ability. Once ready, they laid siege on the capital and took control of the kingdom. Nobles were sentenced to death, high ranking soldiers jailed and punished, and Lunete sought to establish a council rather than a monarchy, equally representing all people who then made up the empire. A seat was created for her and subsequent reincarnations at council to guide the empire moving forward and died again as a leader who brought peace. 8 - Brought back to the council, she worked on establishing a school of magic for the empire. She became its founder and first teacher, spending all her life in building its reputation and seeking those who were gifted enough to attend, no matter their background. 9 - Became an ambassador once again to assure all states in the empire were having their needs met. She was regarded as a miracle worker, winning over the hearts of the people. Gave her life in protecting the people from attacks by a large beast. 10 - Trade agreements with other nations were solidified during this life. She went to other nations to arrange these talks and agreements, acting as a facilitator and a guard to make sure no ambushes were attempted. It was towards the end of this life that she began to read into the legend of Shahrivar and tales that alleged its wish-granting powers. Skills: -Innate magic - Healing, control over electricity are powers she doesn’t need much focus or exertion to perform. Both were constant over all her lifetimes. -Learned magic - Runes, potions, and enchantments are ones she has most experience and practice in. However, she has dabbled in many things, including necromancy and transformation magic. -Basic hand-to-hand combat and self-defense - She’s always needed to learn how to defend herself without magic; she is notably agile and flexible, though not always strong. She knows enough to be able to take a weapon out of an enemy’s grasp, but maybe not kill a person with her bare hands or know exactly what pressure points to hit to cause someone to be paralyzed. If she was to pick a weapon of choice, she prefers a shortsword or a bow and arrow. -Well-read - Lunete is vastly intelligent, having read much over the years and retaining all her memories. So if you ask her something about history, arcana, or really anything, she very well might know the answer. (No guarantees how long it’ll take for her to get to the point though) -Runes all over - Lunete has learned to engrave runes on her body in order to function on a day-to-day basis. Some runes increase her energy and focus so that she can work towards her goals, others keep her memories sharp in her head. She has a specific one that, when she has a panic attack, it teleports her away about 30 feet to get her somewhere to recover.

| Question, is this open to everyone, or just a you and Rip thing?
Also, if it is open to everyone, are you cool if I run a Kobold? The way I read it was that all fantasy creatures are on the table. | |

| Right now I'm gonna hold off on opening the RP to others just because I don't know if I can handle more RPs with my schedule right now, I just kind of am testing if I can manage two for the time being. I'll let you know if I end up juggling more. | |
