The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyFri Jul 18, 2014 4:16 pm

It appears to be a normal enough place. You came upon the building as you travelled, and it appeared to be large, constructed of red bricks, with a slanted, tiled roof. Laughter and music could be heard from inside, and light flooded from the windows in the early evening gloom. Squinting, you could just make out the name of this fine establishment, scrawled in intricate lettering across a hanging sign, The Inn. Thinking it a bit of an odd name, you entered, as there was no other dry place with a warm fire readily available for miles.

Stepping through the door, you are met by an odd sight. Many different creatures fill the inn, everything from imps to cowboys to spaceship pilots. Beatiful serving wenches dash from table to table, serving all those in need of food and drink, while an older looking man with a robust belly and a white apron stands behind the bar, polishing a glass with a rag. He waves to you as he catches sight of you entering the common room.

"Welcome to the Inn!" he exclaims, "I am Garsed, your bartender. What's your poison?"

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyFri Jul 18, 2014 4:42 pm

Yup, he was sloshed. Completely, totally, and utterly, sloshed. There was no questioning that now as he laid in a pile of pig mud. At least, he hoped it was pig mud. He stood up like a newborn giraffe, grabbing onto the wooden posts, his legs shaking and buckling. He supposed he deserved getting tossed out on his scrawny rear after trying to hit on the bartender's wife. Alcohol had a tendency to impede on his judgement. Then again, she did have a huge pair of... personalities.

That night was spent stumbling in the streets until he found a comfortable patch of ground to lay down on. The following morning was spent cleaning up after the mud. The afternoon was spent travelling down the road. The evening... that was reserved for some fun.

With fresh coin jingling in his pocket, Rico the Magnificent Rodriguez entered The Inn. Simple enough title but it got the point across. He liked that. He also liked the fact it sounded packed. Lots of people meant lots of ladies and a few pockets that needed to be lightened. The lanky, six foot two man walked into the bar, his dark brown eyes peering in. He was greeted by a bartender who looked like the type not to mess with. Rico slid over to him with a bounce in his step.

"Chu know main," He said, his accent pronounced, "I'm tinking about trying one of those dragon yugis," He flipped a coin towards the barkeep. Truly, he did not look like the type of person who would have any sort of money. His nose was long and almost beakish, his skin tan from either his ethnicity or sun exposure, and his clothing was plain. If it weren't for the fact that he jingled when he walked, he could have passed for a beggar.

He pushed his dark brown hair out of his eyes and spun around on his chair, searching for potential women to hit on and potential rich men to alleviate.

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyFri Jul 18, 2014 5:07 pm

The bartender's voice made him cringe, and the bartenders looked as if they hadn't had much of a formal education much of their lives. Maybe they didn't have an education. Maybe the bartenders were just there as play things for the man in charge. The man in charge seemed to be their father anyhow, by Dmitri's intuition. Everyone else in the establishment carried selective scents that varied from humans to aliens to demons and even a cherub here and there. Everything happened to be here in this inn, coincidentally named The Inn. A nice bottle of Grey Goose was clutched in his right hand and his left hand tucked neatly in his pocket; a typical look of Dmitri in settings like these.

He threw away the bottle before entering, the glass smashing against the ground or someone's face. He walked in, casually in his black suit and other articles of clothing and accessories that signified great wealth or of great thievery. It wasn't common manners to ask a man where he claimed his rags, and Dmitri was a man that didn't seem to receive those kinda questions anyhow. His face as cold, calculating and strikingly handsome. He had the thought process of a corrupt businessman that had his head between his shoulders. Although, screwing a broad was never out of the statement.

A dirty short man with an irritating accent was speaking to the man in charge, and a small girl sat to his side quiet and monotonous in her looks. Dmitri didn't like little dirty men around his presence, but some bugs you had to let live. He took a seat next to the man and took a small breath before looking at the bottles behind the bartender and studied the drinks available. He spotted a few vodka bottles that had familiar names.

"Hello my good man. Could you serve up sex on the beach? On the rocks preferably with a few drops of cinnamon whiskey."

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyFri Jul 18, 2014 5:27 pm

Elarin awoke in a double bed with a splitting headache, and an unidentifiable article of underclothing on his face. He sat up in the bed, flung the clothing piece over to the side, and glanced to his left. He saw a person he barely recognized laying there next to him. "Ugh. My head.....It feels like it got smashed by a lemon wrapped around a large gold brick." He stood up out of the bed, and realized he was lacking clothing. He quickly gathered up his outfit, trying not to disturb the sleep of the one in the bed. He failed, however, and the person awoke. Elarin quickly looked at them and said "Hell of a night, eh?" The woman in the bed, a human-like being with fox ears and a tail, chuckled, pointed over to a man sitting in a chair, and said "Why don't you ask him? He's the one you spent the most time with." Elarin looked around and said "I'm gonna get dressed, then get some food. Feel free to follow" With that, he donned his clothing, walked down to the bar, and sat. He noticed a few people there, all human-like in appearance. He looked at the barkeep, who was just finishing up taking orders and asked "And can I get a plate of bacon and ham? Oh, and a bottle of Janx Spirit."

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyFri Jul 18, 2014 5:43 pm

Garsed smiled to his patrons, mixing the birdman's drink with the grace of long practice and perfect knowledge. He shook his head when the man offered payment, stopping in his mixing to casually point a finger at the coin, which slid off the counter and back into the birdman's pocket. He set a sparkling crystal glass in front of Vico, poured the contents of his shaker into it, and even added small paper umbrella, which promptly burst into flames, burning slowly. He turned to his next customer, smiling at the pretty face. Another piece of crystal was quickly brought up, and water quickly poured into it, and strips of willow bark, a natural pain killer, soaking amid the pure liquid. "You look like you need something more medicinal than anything, miss."

Garsed's third customer seemed to be a pompous asshole, and as he poured the man's drink, he began to wonder just how far this man would go. Still, he was supposed to be an unbiased lord, so he served all. He poured the drink, sticking in a small cinnamon stick for it to be stirred with. "I can't quite whip up sex on the beach, sorry. But I do know some wonderful brothels."

Garsed laughed at his own joke, knowing that most brothels used the odd image of what mortals perceived his avatar form to be. It was satyr, with a mangy grey beard, a bottle in onehand and a lute in the other, usually accompanied by more than one vivacious women.

The next man seemed to be confused on the time, which was understanable, given the inn's unique situation. Garsed turned and relayed the order to the cook, who had just been baisting a rather large roasted turkey and kneading bread dough. The six armed Lamia looked at Garsed, smiled, showing two fearsome fangs, and winking once. Garsed turned, still not sure what had possessed him to hire her, and snapped the cap off of the top of the spirits against the bar, passing it to the snakeman and saying, "your food will be done shortly. Why not mingle?"

PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyFri Jul 18, 2014 6:48 pm

Trench coat outside? check.
Knife in weapon box? check.
Pistol in weapon box? check.
''Baby i'm hoooome~'' that was my phrase every time I entered this fine establishment, the robust bar to one side, with drinks from east to west, north and south decorating the shelves, almost like a super exclusive collectors item, with the many tables spread around the area, wide enough to accommodate all sorts of people, and in this case, creatures. Demons, people, the supernatural, things that go beyond the imagination, you wouldn't expect something like this out of a place so plainly called The Inn.

''I was worried you wouldn't show Charles'' Garsed spoke, the bartender and keeper of the inn spoke, i'v been fairly regular over here.
''Just had some business to deal with, is all. Werewolves are a pain in the ass'' I remarked, as I took my usual seat, adjusting my golden vest and jet black hair, thinking about what to roder.
But then a man enter the inn, appearing as if he's barely able to walk, he was quite tall standing at atleast 6ft tall, he had a slouchy, lanky to him as he barely seemed to carry his own weight.
''I'm thinking about one of those dragon yugis'' he uttered, before throwing the bartender a coin. New to establishment, it seems, almost as quick as he threw the coin over to the barkeep, it found its way right back into his pockets.
''No payments accepted around here, lad. Also, i'd take a Serpent's Essence if I was you, its a bit tough and heavy, but the yugi is just too light in comparison''

A few more faces walk in, a very tired looking woman, most eye catching about her was her bright blue hair, making her stand out from the rest of the inhabitants. Garsed, always eager to please, quickly cooked her up a medicinal recipe, and then the third customer walked along.
Fancy suit with a bottle in hand, he threw it against the wall with no regard to anything what so ever, before making and order with a high and mighty tone to him, I couldn't help but mutter prick under my breath, even though the bottle isn't much of an issue as it'll be cleaned up before I can blink, he just put out the wrong airs.

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyFri Jul 18, 2014 7:59 pm

Sunflower had been traveling for nearly a year now. It did not usually take her this long to find an interesting place to settle down for a while. She hopped from time to time, place to place, universe to universe, just looking for somewhere that caught her fancy. One place was nothing but a planet full of vegetation, another was a new planet with gods quarreling over it. Too much chaos, not enough fun. She was in the mood for some debauchery!

Right about the time she gave up and was fluttering around the streets of 1940's New York, she came upon an odd building with a sign that read simply "The Inn". She shrugged and went inside. A bright smile spread over her face. Now here was a spot where she could have some fun! She floated delicately up to the bar and ordered a glass of wine.

"I don't suppose you serve anything sweet here?" She asked. "Any sort of sugar will do."

She turned and looked over the crowd. Her eyes landed on an exotic looking bum with a deep tan. He was strutting around the place like he was hotter than a four-balled tomcat. She squared her little shoulders and fluttered over to his side.

"Hey handsome." She said as she approached. "If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U next to I." There was nothing Sunflower loved more than a good cheesy pickup line. Sometimes, like tonight, she tried out two or three before they had a chance to respond.

"Are your legs tired? Cause you been running through my mind all day! Is your dad a baker? Cause you got some hot buns!"

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyFri Jul 18, 2014 8:04 pm

Stripping in front of everyone was no real problem for Dmitri. There wasn't much shame in Dmitri left, not after the amazingly shady and lucrative shit he had to do to get to the top. He was mostly honest, and always thought of himself foremost, because no one else looked out for him in his growing up, save for a dragon. Alas, the beast died several hundred years prior, and things do get lonely when your only companion is lost to Hell or some other unfathomable abyss of the afterlife. He paid no mind to the snickers and jeers from one of the bartender's daughter, and gave a sigh and a kick in the head for speaking aloud in his head. Then again, it was his fault for judging without speaking. Her sneakiness was well-received by Dmitri, who kept his eyes on the bartender with cool, collective cold eyes. They studied the man, who didn't quite have a human scent to him. The glass didn't cut through, Adamant Dracomancy made sure to that, but he was wary however.

"I deserved that well, thank you sir." He took his drink and took a simple sip, keeping his eyes down on the drink. Odd that the woman would travel outside the building premises to collect glass and toss them down his back. Dmitri had other ideas on revenge... on himself. No one understood him anyhow, so he was indefinitely more alone than ever, more so than when his dragon died. He stirred his finger in the drink and hummed a low tone to himself.

Elarin looked at the bottle, and took a large swig. He mumbled to himself something about psychics, before he heard a woman pestering some man with cheesy pick-up lines. Elarin turned to face them and said "You're doing it all wrong. A compliment needs to come from the heart! Take this for example:" He turned to Rico. "Your hair, it reminds me of the beautiful soil-filled lands of my homestead. It gives you a very homely charm. A very attractive homely charm." He took another sip from his Janx Spirit bottle. "I'm Elarin, by the way. And you two are.......?"

Garsed smiled brightly to Dimitri, saying, "I'm sorry about the girls. They don't usually do anything that harmful. But I don't think you get harmed very easily, hmm, Dimitri?" There was a michevious glint in his eye has he topped off the man's drink, adding a pinch of cinnamon to give it a little more taste to it.

Moving away from the well dressed man, he poured himself a glass of redwine, sipping casually from the crystal. "Be careful, Daddy, you know how the alcohol gets to you." One of his daughters, the ginger one, grinned at him and laughed, and he shook his head at their good nature, a smile on his lips. He moved to stand in front of the odd girl with blue hair, poured himself another glass of wine, and leaned against the bar, smiling in a fatherly way, saying, "You seem to have had a rough day, miss. Anything I can do to help?"

Sunflower turned at the sound of another voice. Some dimwit trying to correct her on her game. Ridiculous! Her skills with the fellas were world renowned! She could have any guy in this place, or any lady for that matter! How dare this reptilian know-it-all step on her toes like this! Clearly the tan guy was eating it up!

She glared at the lizard man. "For your information I am the one and only Sunflower Strange!" She waited for the spontaneous applause to break out... or at least for the guy to hit his knees and beg forgives.... nothing. Weird. "Anyways, you obviously know nothing about a good pickup line. You gotta flatter em, and be cool about it, like this." She turned back to the tan guy and said, "Hey stud, is that a mirror in your pocket? Cause I can see myself in your pants."

She stood the with a hand on her hip, feeling like she had knocked that one out of the park. She was smooth....damn smooth.

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptySat Jul 19, 2014 4:19 pm

Rico tipped his non-existent hat to the bartender. Don’t have to pay for drinks? He could already tell this was his kind of place! He scooped up his drink and prepared to mingle, only to be interrupted.

“Hey handsome,” Called a voice. Rico spun around and was confused. He didn’t see anyone. Then he looked down. A tiny little pale faced thing was talking to him. She began to use pick up lines against him; pick up lines he had rightfully stolen. Still, a large smile broke across Rico’s face and he took a bow to the young woman. She was small but she looked of age and that’s all that mattered. Him being twice as tall as her (literally) was of no consequence.

“If I told chu that chu had a nice body, would chu hold it against me?” He said with a smile, “Do chu have sunburn or are chu always this hot?” It definitely was weird to not be smacked already. This was a new (and almost refreshing) change for the lanky man. “Me llamo Rico Rodriguez, senorita,” He said, taking her hand and pressing his lips against her fingertips, “And chu must be Venus, de goddess of beauty.” He sent her a wink and another smile.

Rico turned to greet Elarin, “Ayee, main,” He said, his brain to mouth filter off, “Chu need some lotion chu know? Got some of de dry skin.” He then, finally, was able to take a swig of his drink.

PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptySat Jul 19, 2014 7:09 pm

Sunflower floated up and sat on a nearby table. She crossed her tiny legs and sipped at her drink. She winked at the tall drink of water and said, "The name is Sunflower, pleasure to meet you Rico." She rolled her R more than was entirely necessary.  She was liking this place more and more.

"So, whats a fella like you doing in a dump like this?" She glanced around for a barwench to refresh her drink. None were close enough so she stood on the table and sang a song.

We got winners, we got losers
Chain smokers and boozers
And we got yuppies, we got bikers
We got thirsty hitchhikers
And the girls next door dress up like movie stars

Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

We got cowboys, we got truckers
Broken-hearted fools and suckers
And we got hustlers, we got fighters
Early birds and all-nighters
And the veterans talk about their battle scars

Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

I love this bar
It's my kind of place
Just walkin' through the front door
Puts a big smile on my face
It ain't too far, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

I've seen short skirts, we got high-techs
Blue-collar boys and rednecks
And we got lovers, lots of lookers
And I've even seen dancing girls and hookers
And we like to drink our beer from a mason jar

Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
Yes I do

I like my truck
I like my girlfriend
I like to take her out to dinner
I like a movie now and then

But I love this bar
It's my kind of place
Just trollin' around the dance floor
Puts a big smile on my face
No cover charge, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptySat Jul 19, 2014 7:29 pm

An exquisite sex on the beach was what was needed to wash down Dmitri's throat. It felt good, and the spiced rum and cinnamon was the trick to get him a bit more... ditzy. He felt a lot more relaxed at that, something vodka couldn't really do. A lot more new people made their way into the Inn; all the new scents were hard to waft away so he had the grueling task of getting used to it. However, he sobered up as much as he could when the bartender spoke his name. He inquired about Dmitri being unscathed, which he wasn't very privy to tell. But the man knew his name, and he knew how to make a good cocktail.

"You should know about what I am if you know who I am, good sir." He swiveled around in his bar stool with a leg on his thigh as singing began, and it was a good voice at that. It was the girl that he heard flirt with the man he called dirty from before. Now he wasn't sure if he called him dirty because he was drunk or he could see hidden intent. His Hispanic accent was really heavy, and his name didn't betray it. He eyed the bartender woman that dropped glass down his back tend to other patrons about. "Say, I never got your name," he said to the bartender that he turned his back to. "And I'm guessing these girls must be your daughters, hmm?" Dmitri wondered more and more why this place felt different. Surely, he saw places like this before, but this Inn just felt strange.

Elarin was about to reply to Rico's comment about his skin, but suddenly the one called Sunflower began singing. Elarin thoroughly enjoyed her song, and stood to applaud. He then approached her, saying "My, that was an excellent piece of work. I must say, for someone of your size, you sing really well. Perhaps you'd like to join me for a meal sometime to discuss how you learned to sing like that." Elarin then turned to Rico and said "As for you, haven't you ever seen a lizardkin? No, I imagine humans such as you haven't..... Don't worry, I still meant what I said about your hair, handsome. Perhaps you'd like to join us for that meal I promised Madam Sunflower?" As Elarin got to the word 'handsome' he gently ran his tail up Rico's back. He then turned and walked back to the bar, sitting down at a stool, taking another sip of Janx Spirit.

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyMon Jul 21, 2014 2:12 pm

Marina wasn't quite sure what the time was when she was moving through the desert. Sure, it was night time and the sands refused to stir. The air was silent, making the young woman wish she had brought some company along. It was so eerie and she was never one for creepy places. She wasn't even sure if she was traveling in the right direction!

I really wish there was an inn or something here... Or maybe an oasis. The woman thought, closing her eyes for a moment before trudging up a dune. The sand spilled over her feet, sticking onto her ankles and between her toes. She didn't mind the feeling, but it was something she could have gone without. The dune was large and she was constantly slipping down it. But she furrowed her brow and got on her hands as well, climbing faster until she reached the top, panting heavily. When she got onto her feet again, she brushed off her skirt and looked around. She squinted at something in the distance, realizing she was looking at a large building, a sign saying "The Inn" above it. She tapped her chin, then she slapped herself. Was she seeing things? Was she hallucinating? Was it an illusion, conjured by someone else?

But the building was still there! "Thank the heavens! There actually is an inn in this godforsaken desert!" She yelled out, running toward the building with her bag thumping against her hip. Marina just could not contain her excitement, despite the possibility of it being an illusion. She stood before the door and reached her hand out, touching the wood carefully. It was real! She grinned and threw open the door, only to be greeted by an older man.

"Hello Garsed!" She chimed, taking his hand and vigorously shaking it. "I would prefer not to have poison but I would absolutely love some food right about now! My this establishment is quite lovely. As you are, hun." With a wink, she continued into the building, glancing around at the great number of drunks and other creatures. And they were all so loud and busy with their conversations, the money bags that hung at their belt were so easy to snatch...!

And so she did, but she only took one bag. It held quite a few coins, but it wasn't too big of a deal. It wasn't like he was going to miss it or anything. Yet Marina was already distracted by something else; a young girl was singing atop a table a ways away, her voice ringing out so nicely. She was so cute! The young woman couldn't help but push people away to get to her, singing along to her song.

Just trollin' around the dance floor
Puts a big smile on my face
No cover charge, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

"You are absolutely amazing, my young friend!" Marina squealed, grabbing the girl and hugging her tightly. "Your voice? Exquisite. Though I don't know what that means, I just know that it means you're good. How about you join me for dinner!" She waved off the young man who was asking the girl to dinner, shaking a finger playfully. "I'm sorry good sir, but she's clearly coming with me."

Sunflower was about to accept the Lizard-man's invitation until suddenly a girl with bright golden hair just like Sunflower snatched her up and started raving about how cute she was!

"What the fu..." Normally she would have vaporized a person for manhandling her like this but she instantly found this girl's senseless rambling irresistible! Plus she was a little tipsy...

"Sorry fellas looks like I'm taken!" She said and popped out of the woman's arms in a small flash of light. She appeared next to her and reached up to take her hand. "Lets eat, then we can sing some more and show these lame-brains a good time!"

"Shame, woulda gone with both of them had they asked......Ah well, there's still that handsome human." Elarin walked to Rico, began to pace around him, and said "So, looks like it's just me and you, .....Rico was it? I certainly hope you didn't mind my little comment about your hair a few minutes back, I only meant it as a compliment. Speaking of compliments......Those eyes of yours are absolutely ravishing. It's like looking into the soul of an angel." Elarin sat next to Rico and said "How about you tell me a bit about yourself, Rico? Afterwards, I can tell you about me. Whaddaya say?" The Lizardkin flicked his forked tongue out at the end of the comment.

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptyTue Jul 22, 2014 12:18 am

Marina was quite ecstatic that the young lady was willing to dine with her. She just couldn't help it, seeing that she was so adorable! She reminded the young woman of the children at the orphanage she used to live at when she was young, where she had to care for so many young ones all at once. It was hectic, but they were a loving family that she could never let go of. It was sad that she had to leave the wonderful place.

"I will pay! It's the least I can do! What's your name?" She grinned, taking the little girl's hand. Hearing what the man was saying behind her, she turned her head, training her eyes on him. "I'll pay for you too, I guess. If you want company. I'll pay, trust me!" She wasn't quite sure if she had money, but she could surely find some lying nearby, with all these drunks around her. Marina smiled in a lovely way, a charming skill she learned from her line of work. "Please, come with me."

"I'm sunflower! What's your name?" Now this was more like it. Hitting on tall, dark, and handsome (or scaly reptilian) guys was always fun, but this girl was more her cup up tea. She could already tell they were going get into all kinds of delicious mischief together. She smiled brightly at the golden haired girl and floated gracefully alongside her. When the other girl invited the lizard guy along she said "Ya why not? The more the merrier!"

This was definitely her kind of place. Everyone was either too drunk to notice what a strange creature she was, or they were just as strange themselves. She had a feeling this new girl and her were going to hit it off nicely.

Elarin had just finished talking to Rico, when he heard the two women invite him to dine with them. Elarin shrugged at Rico and said "Well, it seems we'll have to postpone this little social hour." He then patted Rico on the head, saying "Don't worry Rico, I'll be back for you." Elarin then stood from his seat, and walked over to where the girls were sitting. He sat and said "Well, how nice it of you two fine ladies to invite me over for dinner. I really appreciate it. Now, I don't think I caught your name, miss.....?" He pointed at Marina as he said the last bit.

Rico listened intently to Sunflower's song. Country music wasn't really his thing, he preferred something with more maracas, but she definitely could have changed his mind. His head bobbed side to side to the beat. When she finished, he stood up and applauded her. Everyone seemed to want to talk to him and his newfound friend. He was basking in the glow of all the attention he was receiving. He had a full body shiver when the lizardman touched Rico's back with his tail.

"Chu know main, I'm really flattered y all, but I prefer las mujeres," He said, wrapping a casual arm around Sunflower.

"Oh I bet ya do, Señor Rico Rodriguez!" Said a particularly female, surprisingly southern, and especially miffed voice. Rico released Sunflower from his casual hold and looked around, fear entering his dark brown eyes.

"Yer a yeller bellied lizard is what you are!" A woman in a dress stormed across the bar. Rico saw her, the southern bell, and made a 180 to beat a hasty retreat. However, even in her delicate state, she was far too fast for Rico to escape her. She reached up and grabbed onto his earlobe, yanking him down to face level.

"Now yer gonna take responsibility for what ya did to me, ya hear?!" She demanded. The easily predicted became a reality as she gestured to her swollen stomach. Rico's face drained, suddenly becoming several shades paler and nearly as white as the woman holding onto him.

"Chu know womain, I wasn't the first one or the last one there," Rico explained, a dangerous move as a very hormonal woman was holding onto his ear. She yanked it down and Rico yelped.

"You'd better learn to respect me, or my pa'll h'whoop ya," She shouted, beginning her exit of the bar with Rico in tow, "We ain't never gonna have marital bliss if ya don't respect me. That there's in the Bible."

"I don't read the Bible," Was Rico's final attempt at getting out of this. They had already left the bar and were heading for the road.

"Well, ya do now, husband!" She announced, pushing the kidnapped Rico inside of a carriage.

Don't worry, though. Rico always manages to get out of nasty situations. It wouldn't be long before he escaped, off to pillage some more towns and (possibly, they'll never prove he's the father) impregnate more women.

Marina smiled at the little girl, shooting a look at the reptilian dude who decided to join them. Her hand now placed protectively on the girl's head, she faced the two with a kind look (even though she was growing more and more possessive over the little girl). "My name is Marina Biliqas. I work as a dancer for a bar in the city, even though the pay sucks and I would much rather do something else. Hence why I am here!"

She sat down at a table, taking out the bag of money she had stolen recently. She adjusted her skirt so that it neatly spilled over her legs, fixing her chiffon scarf over her shoulders as well. She was glad her cloudy eye was not paid attention to, since she did feel greatly conscious of it. Her blindness wasn't a big deal here, apparently. "Bartender! We would like some food, please!" Marina called out pleasantly, waiting patiently for someone to take their order.

Sunflower could not help but be amused by the woman's apparent attachment to her so soon after meeting. She was not complaining though. The girl was about as sweet as sugar anyways.

Sunflower sat down but her bag was starting to weigh on her back. Might as well let my hair down. She thought. She pulled the unassuming backpack off her shoulders and turned it over, letting foot after foot of silky golden hair spill out. Thirteen feet total piled in a neat spiral near her feet.

"That's better. It's nice to meet you Marina. And may I just say that you are just stunning! Just a peach!" Sunflower reached up placed a tiny hand on the girls soft cheek, then she booped her nose and laughed.

"I hope they serve candy here!"

The Inn-IC Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Inn-IC   The Inn-IC EmptySat Aug 01, 2015 8:49 pm

One hundred years. It had been at  least that long since the doors of The Inn last opened. Or at least it FELT like a hundred years to Tsana. It was hard to say for certain. Time passed differently there than anywhere else. It seemed to move much faster inside the confines of those walls than in any of the other realms adjacent to it, yet stand completely still at the same time. People could spend days inside to find that only a fraction of a second had passed at home, yet nothing on the inside had aged a bit since the opening of the establishment.

Tsana had singled handedly slaved away at the monumental task of repairing and cleaning of the bar since the time of its closing. Daddy had said that since she was the one who made the mess, she would be the one to set things right. But it wasn't her fault! It was that nasty, rotten, no good, dirty dwarf that tricked her. How was she supposed to know that gasoline and orange juice would explode when mixed? But that wasn't the only thing she learned the night. She walked away with two new important lessons that  would become official tavern rules if she had anything to do with it. No more custom cocktails, and no more dwarves.

The whole building had been covered with splinters, soot, and broken class when she started, but now she was almost done. The only place left to clean was a single table in the back corner of the bar. Well, that and herself. Her lovely dress that had been cleaned and pressed by the one sibling that she actually got along with for the start of her shift on that fateful night was now torn, wrinkled, and covered in a layer of black grimy mixture of soot, sweat, and other things she'd rather not talk about.

Daddy said that this experience would teach her the value of hard work, but the only life lesson taught from a century of scrubbing walls, floors, tabletops, and ceilings was one that she already knew and hardly needed reinforced. "This is so unfair!" She shouted as she threw her sponge back in to the bucket with exasperation. As if they were out for revenge the water and suds from the bucket splashed up high enough to soak her chest and face. She heard a loud tick from above. After wiping the soap from her eyes she looked up to see the counter one of her siblings had put up as a joke. With her last outburst the counter had rolled over to seven digits.

Looking at the sign filled her with rage, leading her to release  a drawn out low pitched growl from deep inside her. If SHE had put up something like that to annoy one of the others it would have been taken down immediately, no questions asked, but apparently torturing her is perfectly fine. It was so unfair. Suddenly the end of the counter rolled up once more, leading to another fit from the pint sized girl. "It can read my mind too?! That is so flipping unfair. That is more than just unfair. That is ridiculously, ludicrously, stupidly unfair!"

"Tick. Tick. Tick." Went the counter.

"Gaaaaraaaaaaaaaah!" Tsana  squealed. She would have blasted the sign away with magic, but she figured if it failed the first five hundred times it was unlikely that the five hundred first time would be the charm.  With a sigh of surrender she bent down to receive her sponge from the bucket. She had already scrubbed the table countless times attempting to remove the large scorch mark in the center, but she was certain she would get it this time. She had mixed every cleaning chemical she could find in the back. If it could burn the skin of a good surely it could take out a little stain, or eat threw the table entirely. The wrung the sponge out and scrubbed the table once more, and not in the lazy manner she typically wiped tables in. She put as much elbow grease into it as she could without splitting the table in two. When she felt like she could continue no longer she rinsed off the sponge. "Now to wipe the suds away and admire my handiwork. I bet I'll be able to see my face in it." Not that she was sure she wanted to see her face at this point. She would definitely need to freshen up before the grand reopening, but that was irrelevant for the time being, as she had lost the little bet she just made with herself. The stain remained, for other reason than to mock her.  "Screw it. The table's insured." With that she touched the edge and waited for a black sphere to engulf it completely. Shortly after that the bubble popped leaving nothing but scarps for her to sweep up.  Knowing a replacement would magically arrive in mere moments she made her way to the back room to prepare for opening night.

Several of her sisters were back there already. A slew of them snickered as she walked by. She may have been Daddy's favorite, no she was definitely the favorite, but to the rest of them she was a black sheep. It must have been jealousy that caused them to turn on her. After all it couldn't have possibly been anything she had done, right?

With some grunting she pulled her dress over her head and threw it on the floor. After she stepped out of the shower and toweled off she silently cursed at the figure staring back at her in the mirror, if one could even call it a figure. All of her siblings had matured in to beautiful adults while she was stuck in the body of child. She wasn't that much younger than them. Another tick echoed from the main room of inn provoking Tsana into banging her fist on the vanity table. Some of her more mean spirited sisters had told her that she had already finished aging and this was in fact her adult form. Others said it was divine retribution for the immature way she acted. She could accept neither of those explanations. After all those big dumb meanie heads didn't know anything about anything. Running short on time she threw on a new dress,  and forwent the makeup to allow more time for her hair. She curled the dark golden brown bangs that framed her round chubby cheeks. She then tied two French braids around the back into a ponytail, and added a pair or red and silver bows with real diamond studs  on the sides. "Perfect she said closely inspecting her reflection, struggling to ignore the two uneven freckles that decorated her mocha colored cheeks. She told everyone who commented on them that made her look cuter and more endearing, but the truth was that she was tired of being called "cute," even if it did come with certain advantages.

The bar had opened while she was getting ready. She was relieved to see that things were running smoothly once again. Those who weren't hear when the incident occurred were probably unaware that they had closed out all. Occupying a pocket dimension is a funny thing. She sat down on a stool for some long overdue relaxation, but her break was short lived as a stern pointed finger told her to get back to work. "Humph, no fair." She muttered ignoring the familiar click from up above.

She straightened her dress and put on a fake smile as she approached the nearest table that had yet to be served. No one would ever guess that she was anything less than thrilled to be here. "Welcome." She said with a pleasant voice and curtsy. "What can we get for you?"
