SEMESTER 1 ARC 1 OF 5: MEET THE ROOMIES!

              Roommates: Adam-Alaphonse, Fayln-Able/Cain,Jacques-Axlesander,Mary-Remus, Jason-John/Evelyn,Mike- unamed, Alma-no one yet

Leaves fell upon the ground as students, staff and parents tramped around the grounds. The football town of Yogi stirred with the fall breeze as did the school so large it looked like a city even within it`s gates. Today was registration and move in, norms signed a few papers and moved in. Gifted had a bigger day ahead. The school liked to monitor the gifts of its students. To this end each year before they could be moved into a room they were put through specilsed exams, and tests. Once they were complete, they were given there handbook, school id card, schedule, room number and key. While the administration stressed giving them space to reacmiltle the students were still watched like hawks by the staff, worried summer made them to rowdy.

The medical building was more of a hospital, right down to the smell. Mary was overjoyed to be out of that place, and to be walking across the plant filled court yard, it gave her a sense of calm. They  ran a gambit of tests and poked many holes for blood-work. What Mary was shocked about the most was the power test. They had coaxed her into doing things she never knew she could do,like cover a entire wall in flora, or snap a dummy in two with vines.  What was she, they had babbled some genetics nonsense but why? Why would anyone be...was this in the image of god? Was she a demon? This thoughts raced through her mind, perhaps if she had listened she would have been calmed but she had barley heard a word anyone had said. Her grandfather freaked her out the most, the disillusioned old man didn`t bat a eye at anything that happened in there, just muttered something bout her grandmother. Perhaps  he wasn`t delusional, maybe he really could control the air. The look on her face when she ran off,the pain in his eyes made her feel sick inside or perhaps that was the dead plant she was passing. Still he left without going after her, perhaps he knew space was needed. After a while Mary arrived at the dorms. A courtyard with benches and a basket ball court sat across from the mess hall and in front of two dorm buildings separated by a large oak tree. Mary would have stood to admire the tree and it`s beauty but people were almost pushing her over in hoards, so she wandered into the girls dorms, threw her stuff into hers and plopped down on her bed and began to cry out of sheer exhaustion and confusion.

Johnny pushed the pulley of boxes into the elevator. Them and the schools other local gender bender always came early for extensive tests. John had been declared fine and healthy, Evelyn was scheduled for a psych evaule later in the week. As they were returning student whatever they left over the summer in the dorm had been stored under there names in the "warehouse" which was really just the basement of the administrative building. Jhonny was bringing there stuff up through the boys dormitory now. Evelyn kept ranting on in his head about how much nicer the girls dorms were which prompted some Advil being popped to deal with the headache. Normally they were given a single on the lowest floor but they thought nothing of the third floor dorm, not even looking close enough to see they weren`t alone. There dorm was stranded issue minus the extra dresser and a private bathroom. The room had a bunk bed, dressers and book cases alongside the wall,a very small mini love-seat, small coffee table, two desks, and a empty stand for tvs or etc. Once Jon had his tv and game systems hooked up he entered  the bathroom, to releize the beast.

Mike never liked restigoatoin, didn`t trust it. Plus the electroshock measurements were not a fun thing to be taken. Mike`s head was already spinning around this years paper and robotics circtic. Sadly they had lost Mikes key, so they had to wait until his roommate showed up to open his door since some fool never made a spare. Mike found himself instead helping his best friend Fall drudge her stuff up from the basement. "I know the label says books but it feels like rocks! Is it a pet rock?  You got a pet rock Fall?" He joked as he dragged the box across the female dormitory lobby with Fal`s family. The lobby was like the boys but pinker, Mike wasn`t sure if this was sexist or not.The lobby had a front desk, a tv lounge with a flat screen, the laundry room, and a computer lab. Mike hit the elevator button with his elbow and stepped into the diamond patterned elvetor.

"Faster Faster," the command came from above his shoulder and was followed by a child's laughter.  The earlier part of the morning had been a seemingly endless stream of torment, full of poking and prodding even the simple strength and speed tests had grown torturous to him, but that no longer mattered to him. For once he was at peace.  All his troubles seemed distant.

Al's front hands, or rather forepaws  flung clumps of dirt as they slammed into the ground. He tore through the courtyard galloping like a horse with his sister on his back. He stood upright and slowed to a trot.  The weight of the six year old on his shoulders was barely perceptible to the strange man beast, even when carrying her up the stairs with the rest of his belongings.  As long as the two were together, the strange looks from the other students were also beyond his notice.

Upon entering the dorm room on the third floor the young Asian child dropped off her brothers shoulders. She was rather small for her age, but made a surprisingly loud thud when she hit the floor due to the heavy metal braces on her legs. It seemed that she suffered from an inversion of Alphonse's mutation. It had also struck her at a much earlier age. Lily was already a genius by any measure, although she rarely chose to display it. As remuneration for her abilities her body was slowly failing her. It wouldn't be long before she would be wheelchair bound.

Immediately after dismounting she began to dig through a gym bag large enough to carry her in. She pulled out an old picture and wobbled over to the dresser.  Alphonse watched as she held it above her head and jumped, if one could call it that. It wasn't entirely clear if the entirety of her foot ever let the ground at all. Accepting defeat she stumbled back over to him. Alphonse gently pulled the frame out of her fingers with his claws. He cleared the dust with a patch of fur on his forearm to reveal a memory from two summers ago, back when his life was normal. He saw his parents,  his sister only slightly smaller than she stood now, and himself as a normal teen. He looked a little geeky in those days. Distinctly Asian with the stereotypical squinty  eyes made worse by the sun, thick nerdy glasses, and a sad first attempt at a grown man's mustache. All of which contrasted greatly with his impressive physique. A young man with a bright future, a potential Olympian, and now what was left? Her, his baby sister who stood anxiously below him waiting for him to put the picture on the countertop. It collapsed the first time he set it. After fumbling awkwardly with it for a few moments he ultimately succeeded in placing it up right. This accomplishment was immediately met with cheers and applause from Lily. Who then decided to check on their parents, running out the best she could.

His demons wasted no time creeping into his head once they found Alphonse alone. They whispered dark and terrible questions in his ears. "How long until she stops seeing you as not her brother but her pet? Will that even be the end of it? What about when she sees you as the monster everyone else does? What will become of you?"  With a terrible outcry somewhere between a snarl and roar the beast smashed his fist through the wall. There were shrill screams on the other side but he paid no mind to them. He panted heavily for a few moments trying to calm himself before pulling his arm back with a grunt.  Clumps of drywall fell to the floor as he did so.

It was around this time that Lily came back into the room. It would still be several minutes before the rest of the family would arrive. She could have easily calculated that, but the young child still had to check for some reason only she could understand.

"You should not have done that," she shouted immediately"  seeing what her brother had done.  Al was unable to discern if it was anger, disappointment, or concern in her voice, nor could was he certain which of the three was the worst scenario. The one thing he was certain of was the anger welling up inside him. His jaw tightened, his lips rose to expose his teeth, and he began to growl all against his will. He took a slow step forward, then another. Then he stopped. It is impossible to say which sibling was more terrified by the events that almost transpired, what he had almost did when the older one fell to his knees. The younger through her arms around him as best she could patting him on the back. "Move the dresser so no one sees," she whispered gently into his ear.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jason griped the whole way to the examination building. A new year, with the same old bullshit. Might as well get the worst out of the way he figured. Things weren't too bad at Excelsior once you jumped through all the systems damned hoops. There was plenty of free time between classes, the classes themselves were a joke, and quite honestly the girls weren't to terrible looking.

The format of his exam was more or less the same as last year. First they hooked up a bunch of monitors to his head. Something about measuring his brainwaves or taking an MRI or something, he tuned out their science babble almost as soon as they started.

They started out with some simple equations. Well, simple for him. It was more tedious than difficult, even with them neglecting to give him scrap paper. He occasionally threw out a wrong answer, in part to speed up the process so he wouldn't be stuck answering math problems all day, and in part to his suspicions of them using him to find answers  that they couldn't. Like hell these goons would profit off him.

Then came what Jason referred to as the Elephant Man portion of the test. They sat him at a table across from a man in a suit in a room pulled off the set from CSI. "How many dots are in this painting," he asked holding up a copy of Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, or perhaps it was the original. Jason was no art historian, and the senseless spending of the school seemed sufficiently endless.

"Three million, four hundred sixty-five thousand, two hundred thirteen," he spouted off without hesitation.

The tester jotted down some notes before putting the painting aside and putting a jar in its place. "How many jelly beans are inside?"

This time Jason gave a sigh of boredom before answering. Was this really necessary at all? He had answered the exact same questions before, the little game they added this year didn't change a thing.

"one thousand, five hundred seventy-six, and three golf balls," he said resting his elbow and the table and his head against his head.
Again the scientist scribbled something in his little notebook before bringing out the next sample for his test subject. "We want you to count these grains of sand," he said pouring the contents of a small bottle on the table.

"Look,  I know that you haven't the slightest clue how many grains of sand are on this table. Even if you somehow counted them before hand there is no way you'd have noticed if I added say…six or seven more. Honestly, how many would I have to add before you did notice?  Have you seen any change yet? No? Back to my point, I could make up a number and you'd have no way of knowing if it's correct or not. So can we PLEASE move onto the next pointless task I need to perform before you and your white coat buddies call it a day?"

The next phase of his exam involved testing his duplication powers. First they asked him to make a pyramid using refrigerators as blocks, simple enough. The next trial was to recreate a tank to see if the copy functioned properly. Unfortunately the man on the loudspeaker neglected to tell him he wasn't supposed to stack them on top of each other this time. Of course they couldn't end the session without asking him to make as many as he could of something, a pointless exercise if he ever heard of one. That's like playing who can name the biggest number. He just shrugged and threw out a few dozen more than he had last year to make them happy, well all of those who weren't responsible for the clean up at least.

"Good. Almost finished."The voice that came from loudspeaker sounded displeased. Perhaps they had pieced together the fact that not all students took these exams as seriously as others.

The final test was of physical performance. He remembered enough to ignore the directions given once they handed him his equipment. "Blue lights will appear on the surface around you. Simply guide the ball to hit the target. Think of it as a game if that helps." In a different setting maybe that would be possible for him. The concept was entertaining enough, but having to do for a group of nerds hiding behind a glass wall rather than a crowd of screaming girls made it more of a chore than anything. The task got progressively harder, first by shrinking the target, then by moving the target to harder to reach targets, and finally by requiring him to hit multiple targets in a single stroke of his paddle until he couldn't provide enough force to get the ball to bounce far enough. A loud buzzer went off when he finally missed his shot.
"We done?" He asked panting heavily.

"One more test. It's new." The tone was rather cynical. Before Jason could ask for details he was given a single direction. "Dodge!" There was a loud distinctive foomp sound as a pitching machine emerged from the wall and sent a baseball whizzing by his head. That was the first of many. Foom foomp foomp.  They bombarded him from all directions. He was able to avoid them by analyzing their flight path albeit narrowly.  The more he dodged the faster they came at him. At least now he knew what it felt like to be Neo. How many people could say that.  The only difference was in the movies the good guy dodges All the bullets.

Inevitably  one pelted him right in the back.  "Ah!" he shouted as he fell to the ground. "Son of a Bitch!" A large automated door opened in front of him. Footsteps echoed across the room as a scientist approached him. Jason looked up at the man in white but couldn't make out his face from his position on the floor.  "We expect you to give your full effort on all portions of the exam next time Mr. Smith. Dismissed."

Jason dragged his feet across the courtyard. Occasionally he would stop to adjust the weight of his bags or rub the welt on his back. He grumbled the whole time about the injustice of the world and convoluted plots of revenge that even a child would dismiss as unfeasible. "Worst of all they made me late, my roommate will have first dibs on beds by now for sure," he muttered climbing the stairs. Sure enough the door was already unlocked and someone had set up some electronics on the TV stand. "Hey! Anyone in here?" He called out looking around the room.  So, you're cool if I take the top bunk right?" He added  the end on more softly. He didn't need so much to be heard, he just wanted to be able to say he had asked if it became an issue later. He tossed his duffle bag up onto the bed he had just claimed as his. Then he spied the belongings of his new roommate.  Surely it wouldn't hurt to snoop around a little bit to get a feel what they were like. "Oh God my roommate's a tranny!" he blurted out upon finding a skirt packed in with the other clothes before tacking "not that there's anything wrong with that," to the end. "Or maybe there is some other explanation." He thought to himself for a moment. Maybe they accidentally assigned a girl to his room somehow. How awesome would that be? Though he supposed it was equally possible that they had accidentally put him in a girl's dorm. He hadn't paid that much attention on the climb up. A whole year surrounded by girls. A teenage boys dream, or at least for a boy who has yet to think of all the stipulations that living with girls would bring. At that moment he thought he heard some noise in the bathroom. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to investigate a little to test his theories. As stealthily as he good we crept over to the wall and placed an ear against the bathroom door.

"Huh. This is different!" Alma remarked as she stepped into the registration room, noticing the heat lamp that was placed towering right over a reclining chair. "Last year, I just remember absorbing energy from double A batteries and using it to defend. But a heat lamp? Genius!"

Her proctor (what else could she call it?) motioned for her to sit in the seat, standing before her with a clipboard. She was obedient, leaning back all the way in the chair and closing her eyes, folding her hands in her lap. "Your name is... Alma?"

She clicked her tongue playfully at the roof of her mouth, waving a single finger in the air. "Ah! No no, that's only part of it! My name is Alma Inez Rivera. I go by Ally by younger folks--That's not to say that you're old! Sorry! Really though, how old are you? I can't tell from your voice and this lamp is too blinding for me to be able to tell. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd have to say you're about... thirty? Maybe? Oh, but if you're older, good for you! Not a single wrinkle! I suppose you use many products--do they have anti-aging products for men? Ahh, maybe--"

"Miss Alma," the man cut her off sharply, ending her rambling cleanly. "Do not expel energy needed for this test. When you feel ready, please create a construct of energy. Maybe like a wall? And please, nothing too off-putting." Judging from that warning, Alma had to guess he had heard (or maybe it was written on her sheet) about last year's little incident. She could recall it fondly, how she had executed the defense perfectly and dispelled the energy in a wave, knocking back her proctor and blowing the door off its hinges. It was pleasing to have a reputation right off the bat!

"It's just like tanning, hun. Takes a long while until you get the amount you want!" She stated, settling into the seat comfortably. The seconds ticked by, minutes even. After about thirty minutes, the familiar rush of energy burned in her veins, crawling along her skin, buzzing at the back of her neck. No doubt, her skin began its unusual glow too. She opened her eyes and stood on her feet, placing her hands in front of her. In her mind, she envisioned a solid wall of glowing light, humming with the same energy that was contained within her. She let the energy rush out all at once, forming that barrier in her mind while the proctor scribbled it down on the clipboard.

"Done? ...Done!" Alma gave the man a dazzling grin, dispelling the energy in one direction rather than everywhere, sending it in a wave at the door. Off the hinges the door went, thudding against the hallway floor. "See ya! And definitely stick with the anti-aging skin care, it's doing wonders for you!" With that, she skipped away, out of the building and towards her dorm. No doubt, her family had already set up all her things while she was out. New people were out there waiting for her, so she couldn't simply stay in that room any longer.

~

The morning had been draining on Falyn's already anxious mind. She never liked coming to the school, there was just so much pressure! Yet she willed herself out of bed that morning and put on a fresh set of clothes. But they were just her usual overalls, smelling of lavender after being in the wash. But what made it worse were the tests that she was required to go through. She had to test her singing on rats and played with data from a computer. Not that she couldn't do those things but they watched her closely, scribbling notes on papers she couldn't see. They were grading her almost, and it terrified her that she may not have passed their expectations.

It was a relief to be let out, to finally start setting up her dorm. For now, she knew she was alone. She had managed to ask for one, since she wasn't very comfortable with room-sharing. But it was vacant due to the number of students, for now. If someone came along, she would have to share. But that was fine for now. As she walked to her room, she encountered Mike, who grabbed a box and began walking alongside her, calming her nerves a bit. She chuckled quietly, glancing at him sideways as he asked his ridiculous question. "N-No, not rocks. Just stuff, y-you know, the usual...Uh, books. Mostly." She stepped into the elevator and pressed the second floor button. "Why aren't you g-going to your room?"

In the Academy's Karate Dojo, Thok May, this year's instructor for Martial Arts was alone meditating. Thirty two years old and already a teacher, he wasn't the most powerful member of the faculty or its most important, (given that his class was an elective), but the discipline and focus he gained from his training made him a formidable fighter.

Moreover, many students (and teachers for that matter) were all so obsessed with their powers that they left little room for skill or tactical ability. Thok was still a super, but his abilities were considered relatively low key: Peak Human Condition as well as innate understanding of fighting styles and Martial Arts.

In between each semester, class or period, he spent time training, meditating or participating in sparring matches against any who would challenge him.

Thok opened his eyes and stood up before he began stretching, as was part of his usual routine. Every day he would wake early and perform a series of exercises and practice his self-defense techniques.

When he finished, he turned to head outside but caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror. He paused and stared at his reflection, studying the man he'd become. He was very tall, with long (naturally) white hair and dull gray eyes. His broad shoulders gave way to lean but well-muscled limbs and a toned chest and abs. Scars criss-crossed over his body from years of training.

Something of a maverick for his odd style of dress, he wore simple orange trousers and white foot-wraps instead of shoes.

In the next room, there was a quiet chatter among the potential students that had gathered for his "pre-class demonstration", in which he would show just how strong an "ordinary man" could truly be.

The thought of being "ordinary" made him smile, as did the expectation of seeing the astonished faces. No matter how many times he performed this feat, it always elicited amazement from spectators.

Ordinary... the thought stuck in his mind. He was anything but. Thok had been born in Tibet and raised in a monastery. He had trained his entire life to focus his mind and steel his body, and he led a strict regimen based on a similar doctrine. Any who joined his class would find his teachings were harsh, but fair, and were meant purely for self-defense.

"Welcome!" He called out as his potential students filed into the Dojo, one by one. "My name is Thok May, but should you choose to join my class, you will know me as Sensei." At their confused expressions, he saw fit to explain. "The term Sensei means 'born before', as-in, it is a respectful honorific for a teacher. As you may know, I shall teach you Karate - a form of Martial Arts based on striking, grappling and various throws. It is a purely self-defense based style and should never be used out of anger or revenge."

"What we are here to learn is that powers are not the only means of defending yourself. There will be times when your unique abilities are not available, or are ineffective. To that end, you must learn how to defend yourself properly, using every means available to win, and if necessary, survive. Understand that this course is elective, so it is your choice, but I highly recommend that you do choose to learn, as it can prove a helpful means of focusing your anger and turning it to useful ends. Moreover, it can also teach you... other skills. For example."

He gestured to the nearby stack of concrete blocks he'd prepared beforehand. Normally used in construction projects, these were especially thick, heavy, and designed to withstand all kinds of punishment.

If his potential students had any doubts as to how strong a peak human could be, they were dispelled as Thok brought his hand down and shattered all three right down the middle. His hand remained undamaged, and his potential students were left baffled.

"And for those of you still in need of convincing, I will present to you a demonstration as to how hard my muscles and bones are." He gestured to his assistant, who was holding a wooden baseball bat. A gesture, followed by a re-positioning of his stance, and Thok focused.

The assistant nodded, shouldered the bat, brought it back and then swung it with all his strength.

The edge broke on contact with Thok's back - wooden splinters flying everywhere, and only the handle remained. Thok remained standing, his face utterly expressionless.

"Would anyone like to test my abilities?" He asked.

Silence.

"Perfect." He said with a smile. "Feel free to sign up on the way out, or recommend another for this class if that suits their fancy. You are dismissed."

Overall, it had been a fine demonstration.

John's body twisted and convoluted as his cells and chromosomes rearranged. Changing on demand took a lot of mental energy that the mornings tests had drained them off. After coming in from the cold winds of a PA fall, stepping under a scalding hot shower, did the trick.  After a while the male body was gone and a busty female stood there swearing a bit at the water, as she changed the temp.

Jhonny liked the tests really, thought they could find a way to separate them. Plus copying sports, and other footage was easy enough. Evelyns view was more cynical,as she doubted separation was possible. Perhaps somewhere deep in her subconscious she didn`t want to be separated, after all she'd lose that feeling of control. Evelyns power tests, were more tedious and boring.  Absorbing toasters, hair dryers, and a few human dna samples. The human genes and dna tests were much more complex and strenuous of course.  Evelyn was about to slather her hair in peace mango shampoo when she stopped. “Anyone there?” She called out to the unidentified noise, not thinking that it couldn`t be heard over the water. Jumping to conclusions she stepped out while leaving the water running. She slipped a blue bathrobe out of her beauty bag and triple knot tied it around her waist in case it was a prev. She moved to the towel rack and as silently as she could, unhooked it from it`s fasteners, and clenched it closely in her hands.  With a powerful kick to the door she rushed out, swinging the rack around, while screaming.

“DIE INTRUDER!”
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Mike shuffled his feet, as his eyes drooped. Testing day always made him tired, the years past it had always been a bunch of electroshock measurements, electrify this, shoot that, turn on this pc, turn on that laptop and etc. Draining and the electroshock measurements bruised him sometimes but not that bad. This year however they added the shower. The water only poured down for a second but, in a all metal shower…..that room flashed blue. Mike`s body ached from head to toe, and bruises and burns covered his body. Though thankfully he doubted they be doing the test next year, due to the smoldering heaps there used to be the equipment he had been hooked to. Mike stepped out of the elevator as it digged, and glanced at the floor. “Oh I`m just waiting on some British dumbass to get his shit together.”  Mike would have loved to be passed out on his bed, but he knew how hard today was for Fal, and Mike was as loyal as he was paranoid.

“Which one is you`rs?”

When Remus arrived, she was immediatly pulled away from her parents, and taken to do blood work and other medical tests. They told her that they were analyzing her cells to see if they shared any unusual traits with canine cells. From what she could gather, the test results were not very promising, which put the scientists in a rather bad mood. Remus' power tests were different from most others. They had a man name off various canine animal names, and she was to transform into them. Obviously, they attempted to trick her by calling out obscure and little-known names, but being the canine lover she is, she was able to transform into them all. One such incident was when the scientist called out "Darwin's Fox, Scientific name: 'Lycalopex fulvipes'" and grinned along with the others, expecting her not to know what this endangered, non-North American species looked like. Remus sighed, shifted into an exact specimen of the species, then shifted back and said "We done here....?". They let her go shortly after, a look of slight embarrassment on a few of the men's faces.

As Remus exited the building, she stepped behind a wall that came up to her chest, and turned into a small fox, scampering through the campus grounds, finding it much easier to avoid people in this form. As she came up to another wall close to the girls' dorms, she transformed back, and stepped out. A few people did double-takes, wondering where she had come from, but a majority didn't notice her. Remus quickly found the way to her dorm, and was surprised to see the door already open. She stepped inside, and saw her stuff placed by her parents off the foyer. She quickly heard the sound of crying coming from the bedroom, and saw Mary crying on the bed. She gently walked over, and sat down next to her. Remus said "H-Hey...I'm your roommate, Remus...Are you okay...? D-Do you need anything...?"
------------------------------
Aleksandr had done the tests twice before, back when he enrolled, and the next year. Both times, the scientists had failed to be able to take a blood sample, as his skin cells regrew too fast for the needle to reach his veins. This time, the scientists insisted on the grounds that they had developed a new needle that should be able to retrieve the blood. However, the moment after the needle was inserted into the first layer of skin, it was pushed back out. The scientist administering the test grumbled in frustration as he told Aleksandr to move on. The next tests were varying degrees of mental and physical trials designed to test his abilities. One physical test involved lifting a large block of solid Osmium(A metal with twice the density of Lead). Any normal human would have never been able to do this, but Aleksandr was able to lift it above his head with little effort. When he set it down, he asked "So, did you spend the $11,666,640 it would cost to make a one-ton block of osmium JUST for this experiment, or does it have a use outside of this?" The scientists just waved him on to the next test, refusing to give him an answer. His key mental test was solving an extremely complex mathematics problem. He stood and studied the blackboard for about 3 minutes, before stepping up, and taking about 5 minutes to solve the entire equation, the answer to which was '4'. Once the tests were finished, Aleksandr left the testing hall, and headed towards the boys' dorms. Along the way, he met up with his mother, who walked with him as he carried his stuff. When he arrived at the dorm, he entered his room and set his stuff off to the side. Aleksandr sat in a chair, waiting for his roommate so as to settle the usual agreements on beds and closet space and the like.

"Hello there, Mr Larcia." said the man at the desk, who looked like he had stepped out of a film that had a stereotypical psychologist in it. Adam briefly recalled the last two meetings, remembering that he had not dressed like that in either of them. He didn't like this one. Too unfriendly. The friendly ones amused him a great deal.
"You can call me Adam."
"I would prefer to be more formal."
Adam smirked. Did this useless fool really think that the mean psychologist act would work? come to think of it, was that even a thing? He made a mental note to look that up. Or maybe it was a good cop bad cop routine. Maybe he would be nice next time. Of course, the most likely explanation was that the last two sessions had broken this fool. Adam did enjoy breaking in a new psychologist.
"Have you thought about what i said last week?"
Adam paused.
"Yes. I didn't care for it. Anything else you would like to say, Steve?"
Adam noticed a vein bulge in his temple.
"You should call me Sir. Bear in mind i answer directly to..."
"We all know who you answer to. I know exactly what they will do after this. And i know what they put in my arm."
The psychologist gulped. Adam gave a little smile. This was the bit he loved. Now, the only thing left to do, was decide how far he was willing to go...

There were no words. Just the man launching himself from his chair and grabbing adam by the throat and pushing him against the wall. As he was slowly choked, Adam marvelled. He almost regretted sending him this far. It had taken a few choice descriptions on how his powers worked, and the damage they could do, and how said damage could affect him. It had taken more than he expected. For that, he was almost a little embarrassed.
Oh, right. The choking. Adam was about to call out, or failing that, activate the field, when several hands pulled the man off of him and held his hands behind his back.
"Thank you gentlemen. I've found this session to be most helpful. After all, its helpful to know when an academy is running out of psychologists." he paused, and took a mint from the desk before strolling out of the door. Adam wasn't usually cheerful, but post-psychologist visits were always nice. He walked into his room, opened his mini-fridge, and scooped some vanilla ice cream onto a slightly stale cone. He briefly wondered how the academy would react. He then realised how little he cared. He wondered who his next psychologist would be. Maybe a expert in psychological warfare...
Adam chuckled at his little joke. It wasn't too late, so he strolled down the corridor, eating his ice cream, before noticing a noise in the distance.
"...hm." he said to himself, before strolling over to the source of the noise.

Jason listened attentively at the door. Someone was inside, but there was nothing to identify the gender of his new mystery roommate, though if the water had kept running any long he would have had to assume that it was either a girl or the most effeminate man on earth. Then all of sudden something hit him. Or more specifically the door hit him. Hard.
He tumbled across the door more shocked than hurt. Fortunately the force of the blow set him back far enough to scoot a safe distance from the red haired schizoid he was apparently not rooming with. He was eventually able to scramble to his feet as the murderous green eyed beast tired herself out.

He waved his hands out in front of him keeping his face towards her and his back to the door as he inched slowly towards it in preparation for the worst case scenario. For all he knew this chick could breathe fire. In fact, it was almost a certainty. Red hair screams fire powers. "We're cool. We're cool. I'm not an intruder. Just you're roommate." At first he talked in a soft calming manner, like one might to a frightened animal, but soon shifted back to his more lively demeanor when the sting in his face faded and the girl's desire to kill him ceased to conceal how pleasing she was to the eyes. Her bathrobe had marvelously outlined her sopping wet figure. The dunce must have forgotten to towel off. "So I was right," he said before giving himself a congratulatory arm pump. "My new roommate is a girl! Sweet. and a solid seven out of ten at that. Normally I'd say an eight, but I had to dock a point for all the crazy. Fair enough right?" He said with a grin and a chuckle. Brave enough to take the gamble but wise enough to know it was a long shot Jason minimized the risk of self harm by adding to the numerous puddles the dripping wet bombshells had strewn across the floor in case she didn't partake in his jest.

Evelyn blinked and just cocked her head to the boy. A roommate? That British guy in the office must have messed up again. A idiotic boy,who talked to her like she was some beast and who wasn`t even smart enough to know that docking a point makes her a nine. This was her roommate? This fool? I mean maybe he would have been kinda cute if he wasn`t a idiot about it.

“I,I……...I`m not dealing with this shit you sexiest pig!” Under normal circumstances Jasons foolish comments would result in strangulation but today she merely tossed the rack in the air and walked away.

Some noise as well as some mumblings from Evelyn could be heard from the bathroom. After a while Johnny emerged, wearing a wrinkled pair of pants, no shirt revealing his lean yet muscular figure, and a towel drying off his dark black hair. Evelyn was still seething about the brat in there head but honestly Johnny owed the boy one. He spotted the kids junk on the top bunk, Evelyn wouldn`t like it but John moved a few things onto the bottom bunk, careful not to slip on the wet spots. He believed he had seen the kid on the court but didn`t say a word. He rifled through a few of his bags, and produced a lighter sliver, with the image of a eagle on it`s side. He stashed it under a floorboard as he had done with some cigarettes and booze from before.

Once the floorboard was back in place,he moved a few boxes around, to where their contents would most likely go. He should have began unpacking but the mess hall was about to churn out lunch, and something always started happening around lunch. He moved a leather jacket from his luggage and made his way out the door. “Touch nothing!”

With that he made his way down to the court yard, where some kids were playing pickup. Jhon enjoyed watching people cook so he walked beyond the dorms where a gazebo, and a few benches stood in front of the mess hall. Before he could enter however he noticed people gathering by the pond. As he got closer he was a newly built old fashioned style dojo surrounded by flower beds.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Mary wiped away the tears and bit her lip. “I`m just confused, and s….never mind.” She bit her lip and looked at the girl. “You're beautiful and normal….just le me be.” She didn`t dislike the girl, she barely knew her. The girl seemed ok if a little soft spoken, but how could she understand. She was told there were others like her but she was too distrust to think. Mary climbed onto the top bunk, and rolled over trying to sleep unsure of what she was or what she would do with it.

Remus kept a look of concern on her face. "Oh....um...okay, then...." she said when the girl stated that she wanted to be alone. When the girl laid down on the bed, Remus stood and left the bedroom. Deciding to wait for a while, and make sure the girl would be okay, Remus shifted into the form of a small fox, hopped into a chair, and curled up to wait. Remus really hoped the girl would be okay, despite not knowing anything about her.

~Meanwhile~

In front of the dojo, like he was before, Thok and his assistant were performing a demonstration. Only this time it was different. Two students had challenged him to see just how skilled he was - and each of them was attacking with blind abandon, but their abilities were not based for melee combat. One had enhanced accuracy, the other had the ability to telepathically project images of his target's fears directly into their mind.

The first tried a round of punches, all of which Thok blocked or parried. His opponent was unerring in his he delivered his blows, so he couldn't dodge, but his greater strength, reflexes and sense of timing allowed him to grab his arm each time. Each time he did, he lightly tapped his opponent on a pressure point - applying just enough force for each blow to hurt, but not enough to cause serious damage.

His much younger, more aggressive foe was growing frustrated - and soon every blow he started aiming for his teacher's head. To the side, the other one was focusing - both hands on his temple, trying to get Thok to see his greatest fear, but the mental assault met an opponent with an iron will.

After one final parry, Thok reared back and delivered a right palm strike to his foe's chin, knocking him down. No doubt it didn't do much hurt, but he would be feeling sore for a while.

"That my students is what we call a Palm Heel Strike." Said Thok as he dusted himself off. An affectation. He hadn't been hit once. "Easy to perform, but it is a difficult move to master. It is meant to take down your opponent whilst conserving energy. Striking with the palm allows you to avoid damaging your carpal and its associated muscles in the wrist, as opposed to a standard punch. Just one of many moves you can learn if you choose my course."

He turned to his psychic adversary, who had by this point abandoned his attack. Thok put his hand on the student's shoulder in a comforting gesture.

"And to the disciplined mind, fear is just a shadow on the wall. There is a difference between a real danger and an imagined one. Fear takes the shadow on the wall and makes it out to be a monster. Once you realize there is no reason to fear that shadow, you take away its only weapon. Karate teaches us that by steeling our bodies and disciplining our minds, we gain the strength to overcome any adversity, and the focus to always see the truth."

He spread his arms in a wide gesture.

"Would anyone else like to challenge me?"

Fal watched the elevator doors slide open, listening carefully to the light ding noise that the machine made. Adjusting her grip on the box of supplies, she moved cautiously out of the elevator and down the hall, leading Mike towards her room. She fished for her key in her pocket, balancing the box in one hand while fumbling with the lock to her room. "I'm pretty sure they gave me a solo room for the meanwhile since we have an uneven number of students or something..." She stated thoughtfully.

The door swung open and, just as she'd thought, it was empty. Granted, it did still have the two beds, she was happy for the quiet space for now. The box was placed on the ground and she flopped onto her bed with a sigh, facing the sheets. "I don't feel like doing anything." Her muffled voice grumbled, though not covering the noise of her own stomach grumbling in the same manner.

Mike followed her into the room and stacked the boxs into a pyramid in the corner. “My roommate has yet to arrive, late for the first day. He must have no dignity.” Mike joked in response to Fals private room, as he moved a few boxes in front of Fals desk. He glanced up at, the smooth skinned girl who was rolled up in a sheet declaring one thing as her stomach demanded another. They`d known each other for a while, gone to middle school together and would keep in touch over the summers. There had been a time when he had harbored a unutred crush on Fal and her soft features and the freckles that adorned her face. As time progressed these feelings morphed away from a romantic attraction to a loyalty , and need to protect her.

“We`ll get lunch soon enough” Mike muttered listening to her stomach more then her mouth, as he slammed his palm onto the wall with a slam, then a sizzle and a pop as the rooms lights, heater, and ceiling fan all popped to life with electricity surging to them. After a few moments the heater shut off and the electric input to the fan lowered and settled it into a nice breeze. Mike grinned and tossed his fedora onto the empty bed. Something about the electric flowing through him feeling it move, ti surge around him it made him giddy and his body tingled. Mike sat on the empty bed, and watched the sparks fly from his hands as he opened and closed his fists. He had intentions to set up Fals desktop for her maybe even hook up the

test version of windows 10 but until his powers cooled down, he risked frying the entire set up.

“Sooo new year new debit card to a relative's funds.” Mike`s father had suffered a break

down when he was younger and since then relative from relative funded his school tuition, spending money, and the retreats they shoved him to in the summer. Mike didn`t care really, it wasn't a bad family just not a close knit one. “Stuck at Journalism retreat all summer, then last few weeks cloths shopping with aunt Marcy. Still need a new laptop, camrea, printer for the dorm, etc. Wanna hit the stores with me this weekend? I`ll toss in a new kindle or something.”

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Jon had climbed a tree, behind the mess hall that gave him a clear enough view of the demonstration, without being distracted by those in the crowds. Jon wasn`t one for crowds preferring to sit and observe on his own. This instructor Thox or was it Thok was fascinating. Jon thought somewhat of what he was spouting was just smoke to make the art seem more interesting but it did intrigue. Physical and mental discipline, strength in mind body and spirit. A topic Jon had always been intrigued on, perhaps there was a way he could become the dominant force in his own mind? A sharp pain in his body warned him Eveyln was aware of this thought.

Jon watched them fight in silence, focusing mostly on the instructor than the fools flying about. He learned that during his first power test, mimic the expert not the amatuer. As Thok called out for challengers a leather jacket was tossed at his feet. Jon leaped from the tree, and the crowds cleared for him as he walked. Without a word Jon went to where the others had stood and closed his eyes, prompting some snickers. He let his muscles move from there memory adapting the very stance Thok had began with. His minds only part being in telling the muscles what memories to follow. He wasn`t sure how far he`d get with just some mimiced movies but it may impress none the less.

…………………………………………………………………………………..

After a while Mary rolled back over so here head was looking at the ceiling, the sun felt nice on her skin, and this sunny warm day seemed to fill her with hope, but her mind was still in turmoil. She couldn`t hear or see any sign of the girl nor did she truly look. She glanced towards a vine invested flower box at the window. The school may be state of the art but it hired a lazy gardener it seemed. She touched a hand to the glass, and the vines moved and withered to her presence. The other plants were dying, of drought…...and her thoughts stopped. She shot up her head screaming, she screaming. A high pitched frequency that ohter ears could not hear was screaming into hers. Reacting to this the vines began to creep around the glass as if threatening to break it. Mary clutched her head unaware and moved a hand to the window, her hand glowed a bit and then the noise stopped….and the dying plants slowly became green again, just as a crack ran up the window and was met with vines, lining their masters room.

      DING DONG! DING DONG!

The large bells that adorned the administrative building where loud enough without the added help of sound manipulation that made them ring throughout the entire campus. John smacked his lips groggily as he was awoken by the schools sure fire, alarm.  John laid there for a moment just staring at the bunk above him. John set his feet on the ground and pulled himself upright.  After the Martel arts demonstration he had met up with some friends who he then spent the rest of the day smoking and drinking with until he passed out here. “What a great first day!” A voice muttered dripping in a venomous sarcasm.

John moved slowly, feeling her swirl inside of him, her intense criticism and desires making him feel even sicker then he already was. John felt emotion undoubtedly, he felt it deeply but the level to which Evelyn felt it was something diffrent. The extreme intensity of her emoitoins they suffocated him. Her passion, her sorrow, and her controlling nature swirled in him and seemed to overshadow him even when he was meant to be in control.

John moved to the mini fridge and let his fingers grasp a cold bottle of hydration. He leaned by the window full aware of his sisters demand.  The room was still a sea of boxes, barley even touched, nothing adoring the floor but a cat bed and a few bags. Not that it mattered since Artemis seemed to be sleeping on what John merely assumed to be his sleeping roommates face, not like he was checking.

John practically chugged the water, waiting for the pounding of his head to settle. He took in a few breathes and at least felt thankful he wouldn`t be the one showing up to oration with a hangover. He meandered slowly to the bathroom and turned the water as far to the left as it could go, and slipped on in.
…....................................................................................................................................................................
Mike wandered into the mess hall, a early riser as always. Mike had spent the evening prior arranging his room while his roommate went off and had a silly old social life. Classes wouldn't begin until the next day, but oration and various sign ups would be held today though the sign ups would last throughout the week.  The extra day for the students to adjust had proven in the past to prevent....issues with the more unstable gifted.

Mike figured it made sense, seeing as some powers were more closely linked to the users emontiel state then others. Mike grabbed a plate of eggs and some french toast, before sitting at a  empty table in the corner. The mess hall was large to fit the large and unique student body but also spread out as to prevent claustrophobia and overcrowding. Mike slide a notebook out of his satchel and began jotting some notes on various things as he ate, making sure to reserve a spot across from him for Falyn.

Remus had fallen into a short sleep curled up on the chair, and only awoke to the sound of the breakfast bells ringing. She hopped off of the chair, and shifted into human form to leave the dorm room. She walked out onto the campus grounds, ducking behind a wall as she shifted into the form of a young German Shepard, then darted off towards the mess hall. Avoiding making direct contact with people, she arrived at the mess hall with no trouble, shifting back to human shape once out of site, then entering the mess hall to grab some food.

She grabbed a plate of food, and sat at an empty table on the edge of the hall, away from most people. Remus wanted to get through the morning with little trouble, and she had found the best way to do that was to avoid people.
....................................................................................................................................................................
Aleksandr had given up on waiting for his roommate, and figured that could be settled later. Instead he took a self-guided tour around the campus for a bit, waving to the few people that knew and liked him. After the breakfast bells rang, he paced over to the mess hall, grabbing a plate of food, and sitting somewhere discrete, pulling out his journal and beginning to jot down story ideas while munching on some toast.

Ding, dong. Ding, dong

Fall wasn't one for waking up early. She made a face at the ceiling, annoyed with how her bangs poked her eyeballs. She squinted and closed her eyes, trying to move the bangs without lifting a finger. But they dared not to move.

She groaned and pushed herself up from the bed, rubbing her eyes and combing her hair with her fingers, trying to see her desk clock from across the room. Then she remembered she needed her glasses, so she had to move her hand to the nearby nightstand for them and she placed them gingerly on her nose. It was eight o'clock in the morning as usual and it bothered her that she couldn't sleep for longer. Falyn was used to sleeping in, going to bed at eleven and then waking up at eleven. She was always so tired and she couldn't shake it off, no matter how hard she tried. She felt grumpy and her stomach felt numb, despite not having eaten just before going to bed. Just five more minutes...

Fall flopped back onto her bed and closed her eyes once more. They only opened when she heard people talking loudly outside her dorm. She groaned again and rolled up in the sheets, glaring at the clock. It read something like eight thirty, so she rolled a little more in her sheets and squirmed towards the edge of the bed. She slipped to the floor as quietly as she could, dragging the bed sheets down with her, looking like an inchworm as she went along towards her closet. After standing upright, she pulled out random clothes and threw the sheets back on the bed, heading to the bathroom to get ready. She didn't put too much effort in; all she needed was her glasses and her hair up away from her face (brushed a little bit) to function for the day.

As she left with her messenger bag at her side, Fall glanced over her shoulder at the kids walking down the hall who caused her to wake up. She shot them a frustrated glare before heading to the cafeteria for breakfast, where she found Mike sitting at a table with his notebook. She slid into the seat right in front of him, waiting for him to look up before smiling slightly. "Good morning... How are you doing?"

Jacques had woken up much earlier than the bell, and watched as the sun rose over the hill, peering into his window, which was now covered in paint, depicting the very seen in front of him. He had used oranges, greens, and a large number of blues to depict the rising sun over the campus of the academy, and was pleased at his work as the sun shone through the window clearly. He slipped past his sleeping roommate and monkey, and showered. He brushed his teeth, combed his hair, and slipped his glasses into his pocket, putting on a light t-shirt, jeans, and some shoes. He woke Jerome up next, who slipped a piano key patterned tie over his neck and selected his own bag from the rack. He silently climbed onto Jacques's shoulder, and they headed to the cafeteria, leaving they're roommate asleep.

Jacques sat with his toast and eggs at a table, and wasn't paying attention to much. Jerome munched on his banana and smoked a pipeful of tobacco, watching all the students closely. THe problem, he though, was that Jacques doesn't socialize with others. He is an artist, and takes companionship from the the things he creates, and the world inside him. What he must do, though, is interact with the outside world as well. Perhaps...

Jerome stood down from the table suddenly, moving over to Fal and Mike, and sliding himself onto the table in front of them. Grabbing Fal's note book, he flipped to an empty page, saying, "please do excuse me, miss, I am in need of some parchment." With that, he quickly wrote down Jacque's cell phone number and placed it in front of Fal, saying, "This is my number," before turning, and taking the rest of the page he had torn out with him. He came back to Jacques, who still ate, and asked where the monkey had been, who instead merely showed him the page, on which he began to sketch.

Mike had been sitting in the mess hall munching on some french toast, as he scribble various thoughts into a extremely private notebook. Mike as a early riser had been up a good hour or two prior to the bell, and was more prepared and dapper then anyone who woke up that early ever shouold be. "Good morning... How are you doing?"  Called a famelier  and lovely voice as Fall sat across from him. Mike shut the notebook and looked up at her smiling as she smiled.

Mike took of his fedora and set it on the table letting his uncombed mess of hair flop about. “I`m fine, just tinkering with some ideas for this and that.” Mike rapped his pencil on the table, his mind still in the constant state of thinking it always was. Mike glanced over his friend and noticed the general aura of tiredness. He grinned and set h is pencil down.“You wanna go down and buy some earplugs to combat that bell with later today?”

Before she could answer there morning was interrupted by what appeared to be a shapeshifter who enjoyed monkeys. This monkey ran over grabbed Mikes private notebook and tore out page after page after page, as if he was hellbent on insulting Mike. He then ran off to the schools newest exchange student only a ruined notebook and a small slip of paper behind.. An agitated Mike slid the destroyed n book down the table and grumbled angerly. “He thinks he can just come over her grab MY notebook, and make it all ok but saying ecuse me to the wrong person. I mean those were my private thoughts? What gives him a right to...argh!” Mike`s fist balled under the table, before he glanced at the slip by Fall and raised a eyebrow. “What's that? The only one to get away?” He said laughing a bit at his joke.
….....................................................................................................................................................

Mary, slept through the bell one of the only students to ever do so unaided. It helped that she had laid awake most of the night starring at the ceiling, just thinking. Mary pulled herself out of bed eventually and slapped some holey jeans and a torn apart green sweater. Without even a comb through her hair she wandered to the mess hall sliding in across from her roommat, not bothering with food. Mary eyed her roommate up and down. “You`re so pretty I....” Mary stopped shook her head, her voice getting lower. “I don`t understand. you`r so normal why are you..........we`re freaks...I`m”. Mary didn`t finish that senect out loud but she finshed it inside over and over again.

Violet, finally exhausted, stopped dragging her suitcase and leaned against the wall. Her black hair fell across her face and she pushed it back, annoyed at how annoying large this school was and annoyed that she, of all people, not only arrived late, but was lost. Oh sure, she had been given directions. Could she follow them correctly? Apparently not. It wouldn't have been half as bad if she didn't have her luggage with her, but dragging that giant back around was surely going to strain her arm at some point, no matter her endurance. Violet rolled her arm and drew in a sharp breath, letting it out slowly as her eyes scanned where she was: which, unfortunately, she didn't have a name for. Currently she was in a corridor, but nothing close to where the apparent dorm rooms were located, she knew for a fact. If she listened hard enough she thought she could hear voices from afar, but she couldn't make out if they were of other students or if they belonged to adults, who so far she had seen little of save a few security guards. Which was stranger, considering this school was for people with "powers". Grabbing the handle of her bag once more, Violet cringed.

Powers. She hated the word. It made people like her seem less--human. Pushing that thought in the back of her mind, the teen set off walking once again, this time determined to find a student of faculty member who she could either talk to or have direct her on the right path. She strained her ears, following the sound of the voices she heard earlier, until finally, the hallway ahead opened into what appeared to be a larger room. And now closer, Violet was assured the voices did, in fact, belong to other students. Not pleased that she was showing up with a bag in the middle of breakfast and looking like a fool because of it, Violet approached the mess hall and stopped just under the threshold, letting herself take in the faces of the other students before she somewhat sheepishly cleared her throat.

"Hey, not to sound like a total idiot here, but can someone tell me where the dorms are, please? The security here are terrible at giving directions."

Remus laughed a bit nervously at what Mary said, at the thought of herself being normal. "You see, I hate to sound mean, but you're wrong. I've got my own...powers, I guess is the way to put them. I can turn into things like dogs, foxes, wolves, and I can talk with them too, like actually understand them. Maybe after I finish eating, I can show you?" She took a few bites of her food, hoping things were still going good between them. "So what can you do? I'm curious to see what your abilities are."

Fall took a deep breath and slowly let it out. "No, I think I'll be fine. The bell is the least of my problems..." She bit her lip. It was mostly the problem she had with classes starting and the prison-like feeling she felt from the school. It was a safe haven, but sometimes she didn't like how closed it was. And would she be able to continue her nightly escapades for fresh air? To sneak past the terrible security and be out alone with her thoughts?

If the security hadn't changed, she probably could. Her little thought bubble popped when an animal happened to slide onto the table in front of her, taking Mike's journal and speaking to her directly. She blinked at the phenomenon, curious as to how the monkey could even speak in the first place, not really listening to what the monkey said and taking the piece of paper absentmindedly. The monkey slipped away again, leaving Mike to rant about it's rude behavior and to a lonesome boy at an opposite table (she presumed he was the monkey's owner). "It..." she mumbled, shaking her head then looking at Mike with excited eyes. "It spoke! Oh my god that's amazing! How do you think it does that? Did someone teach it!?" She glanced at the paper in her hands, realizing now that the monkey had left it behind. "It left a piece! I'll give it back and I have to ask it about it's speech, I'll be right back!"

With that, she got up from the table and jogged slightly to the other table, putting the piece of paper before the monkey. "I'm sorry, you left this!" She managed a small smile, but soon she felt awkward and incapable of conversation. Where to start? Fall only really talked about robots with Mike and listened most of the time. She knew what to ask, but not really how. "H-How did you learn how to speak? Are y-you an experiment?"

Jason was having the best night ever, getting it on with this wildly sexy pale brunette, snow white with a BDSM fetish really. The way she scratched as his back, the smell of her hair, it was all so delectably mesmerizing. Then the bell rang and ruined it all. His eyes shot open to reveal that he was not being smothered by the hair of a beautiful girl like he had imagined, but by that of a mangy cat, who he reflexively tossed to the floor. "Oh come on! I just washed those." He shouted looking under the sheets. What a way to start the school year.

With that he dropped down to the floor. He knew exactly how much force he'd be hitting the floor with, but it stung more than he'd expected. He ignored the pain long enough to find and put on the boxers he must have kicked off the bed from the night before. The more he moved around the more aches and pains he discovered from the various beating he had received, and honestly deserved from the day before and the overexertion of his muscles on the basketball court, but that's the price you pay for being an alpha stud.
Of course his roommate, who had been absent all night had snuck back in and laid claim to the private bathroom while he was sleeping. Selfish prick. Too impatient to wait until his roommate finished, even if he only took half as long as his girlfriend who had commandeered their bathroom for her own use yesterday. So instead he settled for the public washroom down the hall, where he loudly sang Kelly Clarkson songs not giving a damn who heard.

The shower had relaxed his muscles and rose his spirits. He sauntered back into his room in nothing but a towel whistling a cheery tune. Unsurprisingly his roommate was still in the shower when he got back. He was even worse than his girlfriend for Christ's sake. he decided to have a little fun with his roommate, to teach him a lesson about sharing and water conservation. After getting dressed, or rather putting on a cleanish pair of boxers, he spun his towel into a whip and waited eagerly for him to step out.

Adam looked around, before sitting on a bench, eating his ice cream. The cone was a little stale and the vanilla was shockingly low quality, but with a sweet tooth like his, he didnt mind. Better this than talking about strange things with strange people who had nothing interesting to say.

Speaking of which...he recalled being pressganged into one of these odd conversations before. The day before, actually. Something about meeting somewhere, and something about dates. Did that girl want to meet him somewhere? why would he do that? why on earth would someone want to talk to him somewhere despite not talking to him before?  Why couldn't she have talked to him right there and then?

How odd.

Oh well. If she was waiting, whoever she was, she would figure out he wasn't meeting her eventually. She could talk to him another time. He did wonder why women never did want to talk to him after he didn't meet them where they wanted. Instead they just got offended for some reason.

What was it now? The fifth time? Why did women want to talk to him so much? He hardly had anything interesting to say, and the interesting stuff he did know was all to do with murder, infiltration and destroying evidence.

Lost in his thoughts, he didnt notice the ice cream drip on his shirt. He scowled, wiping it off with a finger but only succeeding in spreading it around. He quickly finished the ice cream, not wanting any other accidents.

After he finished, he reached into his backpack and pulled out a large box that he had taken from his room beforehand. He took a key from inside a book, and opened it, revealing two small books and another, smaller box. He took one book, and smiled as he read the title.

"Memoirs of a surgeon"

One of the tabloids, he forgot which one, had dubbed him "The surgeon" after one of his murder sprees. He never understood why. He was hardly precise, although he did make a mess...

Passing over the press, he opened it to a new page. Clicking a pen, he began to write.

..once i found where he kept his residence, i had to plan my attack. Although my powers help, i cannot simply hold my breath for the entirety of getting in, killing him and as many guards as possible, then getting out. Plus, this fool had extremely tight security. I couldnt find any way in, and i couldnt impersonate a guard due to my age of twelve years old.

However, luck was on my side. It turns out, the target liked young boys, and for some stupid reason, i am considered aesthetically pleasing. It was simple to introduce myself to the guards, pretend to be a prostutute, and was let in.

I enjoyed this kill. I prefer to kill in expensive places. Eventually i decided to simply beat his head in with a fire extinguisher after i ran out of aerosol to burn him with. I then poured his entire minibar over the room, lit a match and got out of there. My powers made it simple.

Adam smiled at the nostalgia he was feeling, then paused, and added one more thing.

Reminder: Go into more detail on the kill later. The masses seem to love violence, as evidenced by their preferred forms of entertainment. I suppose we are lucky that they dont know how good it really feels.

Adam sighed. He had meant to write more, but he couldn't be bothered. Thinking of ways to break that psychologist had tired him out. Not to mention that he had only been able to use a few of them...

Adam closed the book.
